CustomVue is a technology developed by VISX allowing customized treatments based on the individual characteristics of the eye. CustomVue measures a wavefront of the eye being treated. A wavefront is a complex collection of data describing the unique manner in which light travels in each person’s eye. This has often been described as an eye’s “fingerprint.” This information is incorporated into the LASIK treatment to result in a customized LASIK that is guided by the patient’s unique wavefront, sometimes referred to as “wavefront-guide LASIK.”
