The surgery day typically starts with your arrival 30 minutes before the start of your laser vision correction. It is not necessary to fast for this procedure. After your arrival, Dr. Khokhar will have you take some pills that will help you get through the next few minutes in a somewhat less nervous state. After spending a few minutes relaxing in the Tranquility Room, you will head into the laser suite. In the laser suite, each eye will be given some eye drops to make the entire procedure painless. The excimer laser treatment to each eye typically lasts less than 45 seconds. When you get up from the laser, things will look at little bit like your underwater. "That was it" is what many patients say. Dr Khokhar will send you home with a sleeping pill so that you can take a nap.
